Poke were briefed to transform lonelyplanet.com into an online Bible for travellers. This was a year-long task to create a living, breathing property that's dynamic, reactive and relevant to every person that visits the site. Like the books, we wanted the site to be a wealth of information but also a place to inspire users to explore and contribute their own story. As part of the handover of the site to the Lonely Planet team in Australia I put together a design guidelines book to ensure the quality of any further page designs. The site won the 'Webby Award for Travel' three times; 2009, 2010 and 2011.
The legendary travel bibles all put online for digitally native travellers.
